I am so clumsy. I sprained my toe right next to my pinky toe on my right foot last night. Ran my foot right into a corner. I'm 99% sure it's a sprain and not a broken toe because there's no apparent sharp pain and it's not swollen 100% beyond it's normal size and I can walk on it. But boy, it sure hurts every now and then and is definitely swollen and discolored. Reminds me when I used to fall out of trees (yes, I loved climbing trees when I was a kid) and sprained my fingers upon falling back to Earth. lol. Good thing it's the summer time so I can wear open toed shoes!
Call me sappy...
I've been rather tardy in my blogs lately. I admit I haven't been keeping it up. Hopefully I'll turn the corner soon.
So, just outside my window tonight I heard the birds singing again. I've finally identified the birds as wood thrushes.
Take a look and listen.
I counted over sixty (60+) bulbs (crocus, tulips, daffodils) pushing through my flowerbeds last weekend, and tonight we get zapped with an early spring snowstorm today! Uggh. Although it was rather interesting earlier tonight, because at around 7:15pm with it being still daylight it was a rather freaky weird pink-orange outside with huge snowflakes dropping out of the sky. It looks like powered sugar outside now. As they say...this too shall pass.
Those folks 120 miles south of here are at it again! Check out http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/. Timeline visualization via their custom JSON file format. It was so simple to get their example up and running. More Ajax goodness...
Need I say more? This will be an excellent compliment to my Oppo DVD player.

OK. Throw all the tomatoes (and grapes) you want at me. I'm falling into the oenophile trap. Actually, I have been for a few years now. Maybe it's because I'm in my mid-to-middle-late 30's (ahem) and that's one of the requisite activities we 30-somethings are "supposed" to do. No, I'm not sheep-ish. Although I have to admit, I have developed a taste for wine and am not ashamed to admit it! Check out this site: http://corkd.com/. Great reviews, and a "tv" option with subscription options to satisfy everyone (iTunes, etc).
The only 2 wineries I've *ever* been to are:
For those on the "Left Coast" (Los Gatos, CA - south of San Fransisco) http://www.byington.com/
For those "Back East" - 23 miles past Ellsworth, Maine (in Gouldsboro) - a "stone's throw" from my family's camp http://www.bartlettwinery.com/
I posted this on the Leoville forums a few days ago - I can't rave enough about Firebug. It's one of the best plugins for Firefox that I've used. Great DOM, JavaScript and CSS inspection. If you dabble at all in web development, check it out.
Finally!
The HDTV Gods finally blessed us poor Cumberland County (Southern Maine) Time Warner Cable subscribers with an HD CBS-TV (WGME-DT 13.1) feed. Just in time for the New England Patriots vs. the Indianapolis Colts AFC Championship playoff game! The Sinclair folks finally struck a bargain with TWC. (or is it vice-versa? Meh. Who cares!!!). I'm sure it will appear on my bill soon thereafter, but I and my finance are in HD bliss. Go Pats!
(Let's just hope that the game doesn't go past 10:00pm on 1.21.2007, because I'll miss the start of Battlestar Galactica season 3.5. Pfft!)
